Roles we recruit for
Paviours and Stonemasons
Full time, PAYE or subcontract
Experienced setts and flagging hands who can set out, cut clean and take pride in a finished surface. Conservation and heritage experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
Groundworkers
Full time, PAYE or subcontract
Drainage, kerbing, concreting and general civils work on town centre and commercial sites across the North West.
Plant Operators
Full time
Ticketed operators for tracked excavators and 7.5t tipper wagons, comfortable working in tight, live public spaces.
Site Supervisors
Full time
Hands on supervisors who can run a gang, hold the programme, handle setting out and keep the paperwork and site safety straight.

Questions we get asked
- Where would I be working?
- Sites across the North West of England, most of them within an hour of the yard in Clifton. Housing sites, town centre and public realm schemes across Salford, Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
- Do I need my own tools and tickets?
- Bring your CSCS card and any plant tickets relevant to the role. We supply site plant, small tools, consumables and PPE. Paviours are welcome to work with their own hand tools if they prefer.
- Is the work PAYE or subcontract?
- Both, depending on the role and what suits you. Tell us how you prefer to work when you get in touch and we will be straight with you about what we can offer.
- I am starting out. Is there a way in?
- Yes. We have brought people up through the company from labouring into paving and masonry work. If you turn up, work hard and want to learn the stone trade properly, there is a route here.
