Foster Civil Engineering & Paving Ltd is a commercial paving contractor based in Clifton, Salford. Specialist paving is where the company started, and it is still the work we are best known for: granite setts, Yorkstone, block paving and kerbing, self delivered by our own gangs across the North West.
Commercial paving, done properly
We do not take on domestic driveways. Our paving work is for developers, contractors, councils and commercial clients: town centre streets, housing development externals, car parks, footways and public spaces that have to take heavy use and still look right in ten years.
Our first contract as a company was the civils and specialist granite paving for Blackburn Cathedral Quarter, awarded for four weeks in 2014 and running for two years. That standard of natural stone work runs through everything we lay today.

Granite setts and natural stone
Rigid and flexible granite sett construction, sawn and riven Yorkstone and imported natural stone, laid to civic tolerances with clean cutting around street furniture, chambers and radii.
Block paving and concrete flags
Commercial block paving and concrete flag paving for footways, parking bays and shared surfaces, built on properly prepared sub-bases so the surface stays true under load.
Kerbing and crossings
Precast and natural stone kerbing, radius kerbs, dropped crossings and tactile paving, installed to adoptable standards for highways and housing developments.
Public realm packages
Full town centre streetscape packages combining paving, kerbing, drainage falls, street furniture and reinstatement, phased to keep businesses open and pedestrians moving.
